What a way to start a career! Well Naga chaitanya the son of Nagarjuna and the grandson of Akkineni Nageshwara Rao will launch his first film as hero as well as his career on his granddad’s birthday!


What a memorable way to start one’s career! Film will be launched on September 20, 2008, when Akkineni Nageshwar Rao will celebrate his birthday. The film will be directed by Puri Jagannadh who has had a success rate in introducing many new heroes into Tollywood. Mr. Jagannath will be producing this film under his home production banner of Vaishno Academy.


It was Puri Jagannadh who had introduced Ram Charan Teja the star son of the mega star Chiranjeevi, in his film ‘Chirutha’. Ram Charan has had no turning back from then and his career has been rocketing forward.


There are reports suggesting that the director is planning to give a stunning opening to the son of Nagarjuna in his debut film.

Yesterday evening saw the start of a new program in Zee Telugu. Titled ‘Aadavari Matlaki’ this is an exclusive game show for women, that will be telecast from Monday to Thursday every week at 7.30 pm in the evening.


The presenter of this show is the lively is Uday Bhanu, and the show is produced by one of the biggest production houses in the state, Suresh Productions which is an off shoot of Ramanaidu Studio.


At a time when women could entertain themselves only with those teary soaps ‘Aadavari Matlaki’ comes a breath of fresh air into your drawing rooms for you to enjoy without tears and tension.


‘Aadavari Matlaki’–is a fun game show shot in a huge set for women who are either from the same family, related to each other or claim to know each other very well. The idea behind the show is to bring out the understanding and differences between these people, the dynamics involved of love, jealousy, hatred etc. The show includes a mixture of games, gifts and questions that will bring out different characteristics from the participents.


Each episode lasts for an hour at the end of which there will be one sure winner.


For now the show has three rounds, with two teams and four members per team. So ladies if you are in the same family or if you are close buddies, get ready a team of four and get set to participate in ‘Aadavari Matlaki’!

Now this one is not a very happy tiding for the fans of Pawan Kalyan. Reason… it will still take a while for them to see their hero in action. Yes. The film ‘Jalsa’ that has been in the news too many times recently for all positive aspects in on the stands yet again, but this time for the delay in hitting theatres across Tollywood.


‘Jalsa’ was supposed to hit theatres on March 28, but now has been postponed to April 2.


We had informed you recently that ‘Jalsa’ might be released a day earlier on March 27, on the birthday of Ram Charan, but this news quashes previous ones.

The reason for the postponement of the film has been pointed out to DI (digital intermediate – color grading). Since the producer Allu Aravind did not want to have any last minute backlash he has postponed the film by a few days.


‘Jalsa’ has been directed by Trivikram and the film has three heroines in Ileana, Kamalinee Mukherjee and Parvati Melton.

Hari Elleti’s next film ‘Ankith, Pallavi and Friends’ is almost done. This film was created under the banner of Innovision and has been produced by Kishore Ganji & Raghu. The hero of the film is Nikhil of ‘Happy Days’ fame. But for two songs, the rest of the film is complete.


Mega Burman is playing Nikhil’s heroine in this film which portrays a young and refreshing story. The film revolves around four young chaps and a young maiden who have just stepped out of their college. This film is Nikhil and Mega’s debut film as hero and heroine. We have earlier seen Mega in Bru ads on TV.


The director has expressed his happiness in working with his friends for this film. Malini Dasari, is his camera woman, and she had her training from the Pune Institute. The director has also promised that they will soon wrap up the song shoots, and the audio for this film will be released in April and the team plans to release the film towards the end of April.


The hero who spoke to the news men confessed that so far he was addressed as Rajesh, from his film ‘Happy Days’, that met with roaring success but he is sure that he will come to be knowm as Ankit once this film hits theatres. The hero hopes that the entire unit will earn a good name after this film is out in theatres.


Vinu Thomas’ music will lilt through out ‘Ankith, Pallavi and Friends’.


Naresh, Satish, Venu, Surya, Pradeep, Sandeep, C.V.L.Narasimha Rao, Ram Jagan, Siva Narayana, Srilatha, and Revathi are the others in the cast.


With this film hitting the theatres the young crowd will sure have soemthing chill to watch this summer!

Meanwhile Prithviraj’s Malayalam hit ‘Vargam’ is also being dubbed into Telugu, which will hit the theaters in a month. The Telugu version of the film was censored, last week at the capital city.

The musical genius A.R. Rahman has been roped in for a mega musical show titled ‘Mission Ustaad’. The show is being aired on the Channel 9X.


Ten singers will participate to provide engrossing musical entertainment for a cause. ‘Mission Ustaad’ has been put together by the United Nations, Endemol and 9X. Mission Ustaad is expected to communicate the essence of UN’s Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) across the length and breadth of the country.


Rahman will be one of the judges in the show, which showcases many talents across the country. The singing sensations - Roop Kumar Rathod and Sunali Rathod, Kailash Kher and Mahalakshmi Iyer, Vasundhara Das and Mohit Chauhan, Naresh Iyer and Shweta Pandit get together and battle it out for the title of Ustaad Jodi. This noble-cause-oriented reality show will be hosted by the gorgeous actress with a million-dollar smile, Simone Singh.


Bollywood beauty Lara Dutta joins A.R. Rahman to judge the singers who participate in the show.
